Unfinished floor products allow you to make up your mind about the finish of your floor after it has been installed.
Seeing the way sunlight or artificial light falls on the wood can make a big difference to the choice of finish. So can footfall.
Textures (brushed or silky smooth), hues (colour or combination of colours), tones (light to dark) and protectiveoils and lacquers can all be applied in situ.
All you have to choose is the type of wood, its grade and grain. Nearly all our wood floors are premier or Rustic (natural) Oak.
It is a sustainably FSC-certified hardwood that is forested in sufficient quantities, making it the most economical choice. It also responds well to colouring and can imitate many varieties of more expensive hardwoods. Other popular woods are walnut and wenge.
