Enduring floors for community, culture and sport

Churches are at the centre of every community and whether they were built in Norman times or this century, they exhibit the pride and eloquence of their age as well as all those who dedicated themselves to build them. The styles reflect not just the religious and historical influences but also the communities they serve. It has been a privilege to be a part of their story.

HS Wood Flooring has fitted or restored floors in five churches in and around London, one of them, St Dionis in Parsons Green, was a distribution point for PPE during the Covid crisis. It left our brand new floor scuffed and dirty, so we repaired the damage at nominal cost.

There is a very interesting floor we fitted for the Directors of West Ham Football Club in the Olympic Stadium, but the contract forbids us to show the details. Let’s just say the West Ham colours are incorporated into the floor design. A similar embargo prevents us from showing a floor we fitted for The all-England Tennis Club at Wimbledon.

We also include art galleries in this section of our website: for what is Culture if it not an integral part of the Community.
