Home to a Danish interior designer, the floors are an outstanding feature: 15 metres long, 45 centimetres wide and 40mm thick white washed Douglas boards.
The supplier was Dinesen, Denmark’s foremost flooring supplier, famous for its unique products. Dramatically beautiful as they are, the Soap & Lye finish requires a daily care and maintenance, too much in fact, for a family home. We were brought in to sand off the surface finish and replace it with a white stain and hard wearing oil to replicate the beauty of the original.
We have perfected the sanding process so that virtually all the dust is gathered in a bag. Working cleanly is second nature to us.
