The fit and finish of a floor defines the craftsmanship that goes into it. We take great care with the subfloor because a perfectly firm, flat, floor depends on it. We fit floors exactly to the space allocated, wall-to-wall with a skirting to cover the expansion gap. We have really neat ways to get round radiator pipes, door jamb casings, step nosings and stairs as well as fiddly corners and curves. Every floor has its unique challenge and we always find a way that is pleasing to the eye.
Fitting the floor under the door jamb to avoid an unsightly gap
Stair nosings give character to steps and stairs
Picture frames have the edge on door mat wells and fire places
Getting round a pipe can create an ugly mess. We do it properly
Skirting looks good but, importantly, hides the expansion gap between the floor and the wall
Scotia fits against the skirting when the skirting cannot be removed
A threshold separates the floors in different rooms or if there is a difference of floor levels
Tramlines make a floor look really special
